Once the goods are in store, RFID can assist with replenishment and sales. It can also monitor the location of goods, and the tagging of multiple pieces  means stock-taking time is significantly reduced.
This system is operated by passing a hand-held device near the jewellery ( the pieces can be hanging or on shelves). It then registers the items, signaling any irregularities, or missing pieces.
The same RFID label can also protect jewellery  against shop-lifting, so there is no need to apply any other security tags.
Warning: The RFID labels must be removed when goods are sold. |
